The right way to clean and maintain stainless steel

1. Do No Harm: Avoid Common Cleaning Errors

While stainless steel is durable, it can be damaged if not cared for properly. What should you avoid?

reputation for durability, but using an acidic cleaner can damage the surface. Instead, using warm water and a mild dishwashing detergent will remove
most dirt from the surface. For tough dirt or stains, you can try a commercially available cleanser or a homemade paste of dishwasher liquid and baking soda. Be sure to dry the surface with a soft cloth to maintain shine – allowing water to dry on
stainless steel will leave your surfaces with a cloudy appearance.

3. Periodic Maintenance

Occasionally you may notice a scratch or other damage in the surface of your stainless steel equipment. Commercially available products can remove free iron deposits, small spots of rust, and enhance shine. Even
small scratches can be repaired, returning your stainless steel product to its original glory. These products are specially made for stainless steel
