New Year, New Kitchen!

01.03.2024

Happy 2024! Here at SFI, 2024 brings in the celebration of our 30th year of being family-owned and providing excellence in custom stainless steel fabrication and we couldn’t be more proud!

With a brand-new year come new resolutions! Maybe it’s your health; maybe it’s refreshing your home. With stainless steel making a trend in the home, this is a great time to think about resolving to refresh your kitchen! Stainless steel appliances have been a growing option for the kitchen due to the durability and aesthetic. Stainless steel cabinets & countertops are becoming trendy for these same reasons, plus many more. In this blog, we’re going to talk about the many reasons stainless steel is becoming the popular choice for residential settings.

  • Aesthetically: Stainless steel fits into almost any color pallet you would choose for your kitchen.
  • Durability: Stainless steel is rust resistant & strong, making it the ideal surface in the space that gets the most use, the heart of your home.
  • Non-porous: Stainless steel is a non-porous surface. This makes prepping food easy, without worry of cross contamination or bacteria settling into the surface of your countertops.
  • Easy to clean: Because of its non-porous properties, stainless steel is easy to clean and maintain. No need to seal, like you see in marble and granite countertops. Just soapy water or a gentle all-purpose cleaner.
  • Configurations: There are many different configurations, just the same as your custom wood cabinetry. SFI can help with the design process, or we can replicate your existing wood kitchen cabinets & countertops.
  • Cost Effective: Stainless steel cabinetry is comparable to your high-end custom wood cabinetry, but because of its durability, will last longer than wood cabinetry. Over time, wood can succumb to water, humidity & any type of moisture. This is not the case with stainless steel cabinetry & countertops.

Stainless steel cabinetry is also an excellent choice for your outdoor kitchens as well; and for all the same reasons as outlined above. Plus it will hold up against the outdoor elements of all seasons.
